Young vs Adult vs Senior


Young Guinea Pig: Younger than 6 months
Adult Guinea Pig: Older than 6 months
Senior Guinea Pig: Usually older than 5 years old. But really depends on their daily behaviours, such as pop-corning, jumping and running around.
Consult your local vet if you are unsure!

How big my cage has to be?


8 Sq Ft per Guinea Pig

e.g. 16 Sq Ft for 2 Guinea Pigs

We recommend using C&C style cage as you can always buy extra cage panels if you decided to give them extra spaces. 


Which hay should I pick?


Alfalfa Hay: Young Guinea Pigs
Timothy Hay: Good for Adult Pigs, Crunchy

Orchard Hay: Good for Adult Pigs, Softer
Timothy & Orchard Mix: Our Recommendation

What supplements for my guinea pigs?


Necessary: Vitamin C Supplement
Recommend: Digestive Supplement, Skin & Coat Supplements

Recommend for Senior Guinea Pig: Urinary Supplement, Joint Supplement, Multi-Vitamin Supplement

What brand should I trust to use?


We use many products from Oxbow, like hay, pellets, supplements, treats, and toys. (We are not paid to promote them)

What bedding should I use?


Recommend: Paper Bedding for Litter Pan, Use rug for all other places.
Avoid: Clay Bedding, Cedar/Pine Shaving, Silica Crystal Bedding, ANY Scented Bedding
